Deborah,Shanna suggested I pop in here. I'm happy to assist you with the YouTube captioning process, either by doing it for you for free, or by helping you learn the steps involved, or both.Cheers,
Thank you for your willingness to make WAE videos accessible to the Deaf and hard of hearing. My suggestions: 1) Join the Collaborative for Communication Access via Captioning (CCAC) at www.ccacaptioning.org. This not-for-profit, free organization will support you with captioning. 2) Type a transcript of your video. 3) Upload the transcript text to YouTube for captioning. There should be a CC option when you post to YouTube. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Blessings!
Yes yes yes!! How could I add captions to my videos? It was so nice meeting you at the conference. As you can see we have been busy building the site so I have not been able to follow up on all the wonderful ideas people have given me during my travels. I hope you enjoy the site. Please let us know how to do that and we will be glad to do what we can.
We met at the Heart of America Christian Writers Conference in November. Would there be a way to add captions to your future YouTube posts? I am among the 34 million adults in the U.S. with hearing loss and rely on captions to understand all media. If you would like to learn more about various options for captioning, drop me a line. Thank you for considering this.
