Frank L. Jordan III said… Dr. Haley, you are very welcome for the friend request. Please call me Frank! Your success with self-publishing is very encouraging. I wish you more success in the future.
I recently read that last year 750,000 manuscripts were submitted for publication and only 3% of them saw the light of day at publishing houses. That's about 22,500 publications by my count. There's no way traditional publishers can keep up with all the talent that's out there. Somebody's bound to get left out in the cold. If someone really has a message they believe in, often it's just better to publish and promote it themselves.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you better in the future, Dr. Haley. Take care, now!

Wayne E. Haley said… I read this again, today after I created it with the help of Deborah at WAE. I looked at the page about myself, and said that is not me. It is only the surface that I can show safely to the world. A lifetime has gone into my ability to be a writer. I tell dark and chilling tales, based on reality, that I have work with my entire life. Richard Francis Burton and T. E. Lawrence are my personal heroes, like them I have dressed in native clothing and passed unnoticed in the back streets of Beirut, Budapest, and Valparaiso.
An actor on the stage of life, never credited, but always there in the shadows, monitoring the human condition while being accepted as one of them among strangers. A great line from the original BBC movie “Edge of Darkness” has been my mantra “To know is to die, Carven!”
If you understand I don't need to explain. If you do not know, I don't need to explain.
