Martha Bourke said… Basically, any POD service that you want to use can get your book on store shelves if you are looking to work with a distributor, such as Ingram. I decided not to go that route. The financial risks just didn't seem worth it to me. So I don't know much about that part, since I've never done it. I have my PB at Amazon and B&N. So, Lightning Source charges my card to be sure that each place has a few ready for customers and that's it. As I said, PB are no where near as popular as ebooks so I'm satisfies with POD and ebooks at Amazon/B&N as well.

Hey T!
I use Lightning Source for doing my POD. You earn a little more through them than through CreateSpace and I think the books are a little better quality. But I have lots of friends that use CreateSpace and love it. It is also POD.
As far as reviewers, I've only ever had two want paperbacks. Everyone else has asked for Kindle (.mobi) Nook (epub) or a PDF. I mainly use the paperbacks for contest giveaways or sometimes book signings.
