True enough, maybe those deep unconcious beliefs are part of their creation? To transcend them would be to give up being a cat-mind. I think you make an OK human by the way ;)

This is not so wierd if you are looking at the evolution of consciousness on a continuum instead of looking at specific instances...animal consciousness is of a lower more veiled nature than human consciousness. However, they are, as a kingdom evolving towards humanhood. The animals at the highest point of evolution within that kingdom are the cat, the dog, the horse, the elephant.....primates and dolphins fit in also near the top.So you have a domesticated cat that has retained some of it's lower survival characteristics

My point is that on a continuum you will find animals who have evolved to a very human like nature AND humans that have barely risen at all above an animal nature.

Jill, I'm not grasping that an animal is less or more than a human, they seem to simply lack our intellectual features and perhaps have many fewer decisions to make. If a higher entity is measured by its need to be a co-creator of its own reality, which defines a person, then I guess humans are at the top around here. But then where does that leave lower-functioning persons and communities of such persons? My problem with answers is that they seed many questions.

Jeff... Ah Yes.. the fun aspect of these discussions...creating more questions. When you and I both become fully enlightened we will probably have nothing to talk about LOL. I've heard of highly evolved gurus in India visiting each other and sitting in the presence of each other for days saying nothing, but in complete bliss as 2 souls communing at the highest level.

As for lower functioning humans...Their Soul or Atma is functioning at the level of God, However,as  a soul in a human body they are playing out their personal evolution through many lifetimes ....you and I, in another life played the human role at a lower functioning level too.

The great thing is that one can take many more life times to become a fully functioning co-creator..OR a switch can be flipped in a nano-second. Since most of us can't read each other's soul script...we never know the exact page we or any other being is on in the journey to Divine.

What to do?  that is always the question....and I guess the answer is pretty much always the same. Be the very best and most highly evolved human we can be on a personal level and...then

1) We affect EVERYTHING in every kingdom around us in a positive way...even when just sitting in our living room 

2) We will KNOW at a soul/heart/intuitional level if we are to say anything or do anything to intervene in any situation.

Those steeped in "evil", separation from Divine, also affect everything around them....but they are rarely connected to their Divine intuition/soul/heart or they would act differently.....they are blind to their own Light and the Light of others and tend to attract like minded humans OR overwhelm wishy washy ones who have doubts about their own Divinity and do not stand strong in their soul-centeredness

Thus the continuing play of Light and Dark.

On the "Lighter" side the ALL being contained in God, the ultimate source of Light Love and Power  "He" will always win in the grand scheme of things....That, in my understanding,is the Truth of the Divine Plan.

Jeff, I'm a fan of your reference to "Distance from God". Although All is God and God contains All...as humans our consciousness can be close to that of God or distant...in widely varying degrees. If you like word games; "Evil" spelled backwards is "Live"......If truly "Living" is moving in cycles ever closer to Divinity, then evil would be the opposte or backwards nature of that..moving the furthest distance possible from the Divine.

jeff, but simple is a relative term and may not even satisfy the understang we seek in resolving wy a loving shud sit back and watch killings of the innocent. I will go 4 leaving it 2 God. Coz then he can give us deeper insight 2 understand the complexities. As 2 whether all evil men are in pain, rest assured that they are. Otherwise they d not be causing it. We can only give out that which we posses within us. Nothing more or less.
