Or is that just a secondary benefit?

If they improve specific individuals, the net result is improving the world. I think this would be a primary benefit along with helping the individual.

Yes and No.

To me - spiritual writing which resonates with readers is writing that is not lecturing or compulsive. There is plenty of the compulsive and lecturing out there. It gags me.

The spiritual writing I like to read makes me think and hopefully helps me to change to be a better person and who I am supposed to be when I am at my best. That might just change my little world, or it might have a broader influence.

Regardless, without TRUTH in the writing - No Change - Nothing happens here!!!

Hi Jan,

I agree with you , writings must be authentic for a person to believe and then create  a positive change if they wish,  even if they are not aware a change is happening on a subtle level, truth will always change a person.

Best Wishes .

Yes..to both. Some spiritual writers are driven to document spiritual experiences or cosmic ideas they have as a matter of Self or soul expression....just as an artist may be driven to paint ..or a rose driven to bloom. It is a natural expression of their being which may or may not improve the world.

Other spiritual writers have been given an "assignment" that is they have very specific intuitional or Divine instructions to write on certain spiritual topics because the world needs the information in order to evolve.

Of course, the ultimate question is: How many spiritual writers does it take to change the world?..... It doesn't really matter unless the world wants to change.

Ah Jill, but if enough individuals change, and individuals make up the world, the world WILL want to change.

Exactly! It seems the most effective change comes from the grass roots individuals gathering momentum, rather than large institutions dictating change. In the field of vibrational medicine where I work, I am always reminding people that the changes, the healing MUST occur fromn the inside out...So every heart felt piece of prose will sound a note that hopefully will attract others....

I was sort of joking about the world wanting to change...Actually the world will continue to evolve whether individuals like it or not.

Hi Jill,

You are right , great description.

Best wishes,

LOU LOU

Spiritual writers I think are to awaken people's souls to better possibilities and call them towards that vision.  And that, by definition, improves the world, reminding people that their souls would be lighter and more luminous if they let themselves grow and be stretched beyond their own comfort zones.

Hi Sherry,

Loving this one, gonna write it down in inks, perhaps design a silk painting on brilliant quotes.

Have started Jeff's quote in inks about  Angel wings, and I've  started perlimanary sketches for a silk , embroidered painting I wish to do for him and Deborah. A painting of his quote describing Angel protection and wings.    Excellent.

Wishes.
