Hi everyone... I thought it would be nice for us to do some intros. Share about yourself:

What is your current work in progress about?

What have you published in the past? (And yes, church newsletters count!)

What types of books do you like to read and why?

Be sure to include a link to your blog or Website. I look forward to your replies!

Hi Kathryn,

Loli from South-Africa. I lived in New York and Chicago as a child, and love 'mixing' with some old roots!

I have always written, it started as letters from the States to friends in Africa, then 'Dear Diary', journalling, yes, church letters, kids curriculums...AND then my first book and ofcourse blogging. I am embarrased to say... I did not tap into blogging until Jan.this year, and as a right brainer, AAAAAAGGGGGGh,( or 'Eish' as we say here.) The writing part is easy, the dashboard and computer stuff... eeeeck! (I can't even figure out how to invite you to be my friend!)

I like to read books that challange my own stutusquo thoughts....mostly Christian books for years...but as I have grown from a bit of legalism, I am embracing the arts anew.

I am working on my first English book, have written the Afrikaans one, and sent it off in search of a publisher.(Yes, in S.Afr. some publishers actually allow you to send the entire manuscript. I am not sure if this is good or bad, as 'there goes my pearls'. However,  I am approaching the international market for the English one,as all the competition is there, and I feel it is a relevant global topic)

The book is about sexual addiction and pride and how we use religion to solve our problems. However, freedom came for my husband and I, through simple belief in the finished work of Christ!!! And not ten steps, or do this, then that! I am even considering posting the query here, but I am so nervous.

It was nice chatting to you, you did not tell us about yourself!!

Have a 'lekker' (nice in Afrikaans) day!

What freedom it is to rest in Christ.  I would be very interested in your book.  As for the nerves I am beginning to throw my own out the window so I understand.  My friend Leslie who invited me here is from South Africa and seeking publication for her novel currently.  I pray you have great success in sharing the freedom you have found in Christ!

Oh thank-you, thank-you! Pls. introduce me to Linda? How cool to meet fellow writers !!

Hello everyone,

I am a minister and currently a student at Oral Roberts University.  I am currently writing a devotional blog BelovedHopeEndures.com.  I have a love of writing and a passion to renew the mind because of God's abundant grace toward me.  I am working on my first book which is on intimacy with God after childhood sexual abuse.  I am in the very beginnings of getting my ideas in order and have an introduction.  I must admit that I am finally gaining confidence in writing the book.  Whether it is published or not, I want to leave it for my girls.  I want them to know our God is a Redeemer, Healer, and Restorer.  I have written journal entries, sermons, poetry, songs, and some curriculum for the youth I led over the years.  I am the wife to an amazing husband, the mother of four girls aged 5 to 15, and an avid reader.  I mostly read Christian living and whatever increases biblical knowledge.  I have just recently begun reading Christian fiction.  I am very thankful for my friend Leslie who is in the publishing seeking process for inviting me to join the network.  Blessings abundant to you all.
