I see children as little beings with huge potentials....If there is anything I can do to help them realize the unlimited nature of their souls...I try to do that. Being a parent is hard having to keep them safe and provide boundries for their own good. As a grandparent and a writer....I have a special freedom to address them as a soul rather than a kid always getting into mischief...I am able to say Yes much more often than no....I am honored when they listen to my stories and ask me for more...as they are able to be quite brutally honest with nothing personal intended.

At the youngest ages before they are subjected to the belief systems of parents, schools, and churches.....They are open, unprejudice, find joy in the very smallest of things and teach us to remember ourselves and our unlimited imagination.

As they become older and more impressioned by society...they lose a bit of this wonder and joy....I feel a responsibility to nurture that wonder and joy  at what ever age they present themselves to me.
