We are often advised to build large email lists of people who are relevant to the books we write. It follows that all of us are on such lists whether we care or not. Do you read emails that essentially "sell" a book that's in sync with your…Continue

Comment by Gary E. Smith on May 1, 2013 at 12:11pm Janet, I scanned your blog this morning, and will read it more closely when I can take the time to actually read the details. I had no idea that there were 12 earthquakes in the recent past. Keep up the good work. Eventually people will listen if enough writers like you keep pounding the drum. Gary Smith
Comment by Janet Starr Hull on April 30, 2013 at 11:03am Sometimes I wish I had your talent to write a good mystery, Gary. It seems they sell easier than the non-fiction genre that I write. I have launched a new blog to try to promote my newest book, As The World Turns: Preparing For An Astounding Shift in Earth History - http://www.extinctiontheory.com/blog/
As an Earth Scientist, I can explain so much about why the Earth is changing today, so maybe I need to throw a juicy murder in there somewhere, eh??? .... As The World Turns: Murder In The Azores - ?????
Comment by Michael R. Owens on April 29, 2013 at 11:12pm Murder in the Rockies. Love the title. For the cover (liked them both) I prefer #2. I think the gun on the cover intrigued me. Best of luck with your book! Sounds like a great read.
Comment by Janet Starr Hull on April 29, 2013 at 2:55pm Thank you, Gary. I voted for #1. I am in the minority, though; Cover #2 has the most at the moment.
Good luck with your new publication - your book sounds really good.

Comment by Janet Starr Hull on April 29, 2013 at 12:54pm Gary, can you post the link?
Comment by Gary E. Smith on April 29, 2013 at 12:17pm Please vote! We need more votes for the book cover of Murder in the Rockies. Vote at Koehler Books Publisher for the cover you like the best. Murder Mystery set in Denver 1890 but not a western. Thanks for your interest.
Comment by Janet Starr Hull on March 21, 2013 at 3:01pm Scott, that's a great title for your book. And your pub experience fits right in, eh? Moving Forward in Reverse..... I am glad you're back in Forward now! So, in what gear?
Comment by David R. Beshears on March 16, 2013 at 9:06am Up until now, ebook editions were on amazon, while printed editions of my books were offered thru the greybeard publishing website. This was because, at least in my case, the cost of putting printed editions of my books on amazon left zero dollars going to the fund to build the community center.
Not any more… printed or kindle format of most of my titles on amazon. And in fact printed books cost folks less than before and I still get a few dollars in royalties to contribute to the fund. Cool. I like it.
Please, check out my amazon author page.
